RaAM is pleased to offer its members substantial discounts on subscriptions to two key journals in the field:

Metaphor and the Social World

Editors: Lynne Cameron and Graham Low

Metaphor and the Social World aims to provide a forum for researchers to share with each other, and with potential research users, work that explores aspects of metaphor and the social world. The term “social world” signals the importance given to context (of metaphor use), to connections (e.g. across social, cognitive and discourse dimensions of metaphor use), and to communication (between individuals or across social groups).

Journal discounts for RaAM members

Metaphor & Symbol

Published since 1986, originally as Metaphor and Symbolic Activity, this well-known journal is dedicated to the study of figurative language and the cognitive processes behind it. RaAM members may receive a 25% discount on the annual personal subscription rate (currently 27 pounds sterling [GBP] versus the normal rate of 36 pounds). Write to societies@tandf.co.uk, informing the customer service staff at Taylor & Francis that you are entitled to a society discount on a personal subscription as a member of the Association for Researching and Applying Metaphor (RaAM). If you have subscribed to the journal in the past and have a customer service number, please include that in your e-mail.
